| Choice Aeronautical Academy’s President, Joseph F. Crawford,
has been involved with aviation since he was 20 years old. He
learned how to fly at Tamiami Airport in Miami in 1965. In 1970,
Mr. Crawford began working for the Orlando Fire Department and
with a work schedule of one day on and two days off, allowed for
the start of his career in flight training. In 1974, Mr.
Crawford left the fire department and went to Federal Express
flight school, earned an Airline Transport Rating and subsequently
applied to the FAA to become a FAA designat4ed pilot examiner,
thus becoming the youngest FAA designated examiner ever in the
South-Eastern FAA region authorized to conduct certification
flights on eight different types of twin-engine aircraft.
After seven years as an examiner, Mr. Crawford began
instructing full time and soon had more than 120 of his students
receiving their licenses in a 12-month period. European students
began coming to fly with Mr. Crawford in Titusville and with the
vision of g growth of international student’s and growth of the
school Orlando was chosen as the best location and in June of
1992, Choice Aeronautical Academy, Inc. was born.
We offer training from Private Pilot through Airline Transport
Pilot.
